The easiest way to grant a third-party access to the web files in a specific folder is to set up an FTP account and to put website content access limits in regards to your web hosting space. If you use the services of a web designer, for instance, they will not be given access to any other files or any sensitive data in your hosting account. You can also use multiple FTP accounts to maintain different sites built with a desktop web design application like FrontPage or Dreamweaver – each website can be published on the Internet and later modified using an FTP account with access to its own website folder on the hosting server. All these things will be possible as long as you are able to set up and manage your FTP accounts in a seamless way.

FTP Manager in Shared Website Hosting

Our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel, which is offered with each shared website hosting package, will give you access to multiple controls to administer your FTP accounts easily through the FTP Manager section. If you wish to set up a new FTP account, to edit the password associated with an existing one or delete it entirely, it will not take more than one mouse click. As opposed to other Control Panels where you have to set up a brand-new account in case you wish to access another folder, our FTP Manager will permit you to edit the access path for an active account rather easily and you’ll be able to view the access paths for all the accounts the moment you visit Hepsia’s FTP Manager section. For the sake of convenience, you can set up an account on your PC by downloading and installing an auto-config file for several FTP clients – Core FTP, FileZilla, CyberDuck. You can also arrange the accounts in ascending or descending order on the basis of their access paths or usernames and find the one that you want easier and faster.

FTP Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers

Our semi-dedicated server configurations are managed through the simple-to-work-with, in-house built Hepsia Control Panel. One of its sections – the FTP Manager, is dedicated to administering your FTP accounts and anything associated with them, so you will be able to administer all the accounts quickly and easily. It’ll take one single mouse click to create a brand-new account, to delete an existing one or simply to edit its password. You can also view the complete list of all your accounts in this Control Panel section and, for the sake of convenience, you can sort them in alphabetical order – ascending or descending, either by their access path or by username. Changing the path for a specific account is also pretty easy – you will just have to click on it and select the new folder in the pop-up window that will appear, so you won’t have to create a brand-new account in case you simply want to specify what website files an existing account can access. You can also make use of auto-config files for famous FTP apps like Core FTP and FileZilla.
